Metal can be a pretty physical style of playing. There is usually a lot of fast picking and palm muting involved in most metal music. There are a couple of things that you will need to be aware of before diving in to the metal lessons. The first thing is that you should have a pretty good amount of distortion on your amp or pedal that you are using. The second thing is that your right hand is going to be doing a lot of work in these lessons. Having said that, you should probably warm up before going through each lesson. The last thing that I want to mention is more of a suggestion. Most people use a thicker pick when they are playing metal. It is generally a bit easier to play faster with a thicker pick. Try one out and see if it works for you. Have fun and go for it!
