The Major Pentatonic Scale is a really popular and useful scale. But like most scales, if you just play it up and down the fretboard, it’s not going to sound very musical.
I want to share with you some ideas to help you break out of the scale pattern so you can turn the Major Pentatonic Scale into an actual melody -- I’ll even show you some fun riffs you can use with it.
On top of that, I’ll also show you how the Major Pentatonic Scale can be used when playing 12-bar blues in conjunction with the Blues scale, so you can add a little more flavor to your blues guitar improvisation.
